  • De Toren

    De Toren Private Cellar is a winery on a 22-hectare farm specialising in Bordeaux-style wines, located on the Polkadraai hills near Stellenbosch. It is home to the first cellar in South Africa to produce wines incorporating all five noble Bordeaux grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot.

  • Kanonkop

    Kanonkop is a 4th generation family wine estate. The name Kanonkop derives from a hilltop (kop) on the Simonsberg mountain above the estate, from which, during the 17th and 18th centuries, a cannon (kanon) was fired to announce the arrival of sailing ships entering Table Bay.

  • Warwick

    It was not until 1964 that the Ratcliffe family arrived on the property, and it took winemaker Norma Ratcliffe, alongside her husband Stan, twenty years before releasing their first wine. Warwick’s Blue Lady Cabernet Sauvignon was launched in 1984, after which the estate bottled the very first “Cape Blend” in the world.

    Marianne Wine Estate is located near Stellenbosch. It is owned by Christian Dauriac, owner of Château Destieux (Grand Cru Classé) and Château Montlisse (Grand Cru) in Saint-Émilion, France. The renowned oenologist Michel Rolland has been advising the estate since its very first vintage in 2004.

  • Waterford

    Waterford Estate is a wine estate located in the Blaauwklippen Valley, in the renowned Stellenbosch region of the Western Cape, surrounded by the spectacular landscapes of the Helderberg mountains. The estate spans approximately 120 hectares, but only half is planted with vines — the other half remaining dedicated to the natural Cape flora and fauna (Cape Floral Kingdom) to promote biodiversity. Waterford is renowned for its red, white and rosé wines, with a particular focus on Bordeaux and Mediterranean grape varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz/Syrah, Grenache, etc.).

  • Delaire

    Delaire Graff Estate is a world-renowned wine property located on the Helshoogte Pass, between the Stellenbosch and Franschhoek valleys, in one of South Africa’s most iconic wine-growing regions. The vineyard covers approximately 17 to 20 hectares, exposed to a unique combination of maritime and mountain climates that yields grapes of rich and well-balanced flavour. The grape varieties planted consist mainly of Bordeaux cultivars (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, etc.) as well as Chardonnay, producing a complete range of red, white, rosé, sparkling and dessert wines.

  • Stark-Condé

    Stark-Condé Winery is located in the Jonkershoek Valley, a sub-region of Stellenbosch. The wine estate was founded by José Condé, a passionate wine entrepreneur, and his wife Joanna Stark, hence the name Stark-Condé. They acquired the property in the 1990s and set about revitalising the existing vineyards. Stark-Condé is particularly known for its red wines, with grape varieties including Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

    Boekenhoutskloof is an absolute must. Known in particular for its celebrated Chocolate Block — a magnificent blend that is not to be missed. Established in 1776, Boekenhoutskloof is nestled in the most secluded corner of the Franschhoek Valley. Bought and restored in 1993, the farm and estate now produces Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Grenache, Semillon and Viognier. Tastings are held at 11am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Booking your visit in advance is highly recommended.

  • Babylonstoren

    Babylonstoren is a historic wine farm located in the Drakenstein Valley, between Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Paarl. The estate dates back to 1692 and is one of the oldest Cape Dutch-style farms in the country. At the heart of Babylonstoren lies a kitchen garden of over 5 hectares, inspired by the historic gardens of the colonial era and described by some as the “Versailles of kitchen gardens.” It cultivates more than 300 species of fruits, vegetables, herbs and medicinal plants, with an exceptional botanical diversity.

    Remhoogte Wine Estate is a family-owned wine estate nestled on the southern and south-western slopes of the Simonsberg mountains, in the renowned Cape Winelands region near Stellenbosch. The estate covers approximately 60 hectares, with around 30 hectares of vines planted on steep slopes that encourage good sun exposure and slow ripening of the grapes. The main grape varieties cultivated include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz/Syrah, Pinotage, as well as a small amount of Chenin Blanc.
